So since i'm black, should I use shampoo for black hair???

I really didnt know how to phrase that question but I hope everyone got it. I currently use Grnier Fructis Length and Strength which i love but i also wanted to try the Pantene Relaxed and Natural..Do you think that a ethnic product will be more useful to me?I don't have nappy hair or anything. It's kind of wavy at the top but straight at the bottom and i don't have split ends..but my hair breaks a lot..so what do u recommend??Thanx!

First of all make sure you condition ur hair well against dry and damage, especially the ends, try Motrins CPR conditioner it should do the job..also make sure you avoid products high in alcohol or petroleum. Always read the label %26amp; the ingredients listed before you buy..and avoid products that leave hair sticky, brittle or coated, like lets say beeswax. The best detangling shampoo for natural hair imo is Creme of Nature detangling shampoo (in the red bottle). Good luck!

I dont think black hair care products such as shampoos and conditioners really work all that well Im black and I've tried the Pantene and I didnt see any improvement so now Im using Infusium 23 Moisturology it works wonders I think that with our type of hair we just need a good thick conditioner that wont dry our hair out and then to us a good oil afterwards.

Use whatever shampoo you like. I find black shampoos make my hair too oily.

I don't think you necessarily have to use ethnic products, but the reason it is breaking so much is because of the lack of moisture. So the products you are using now are not giving it the moisture it needs. And you have to take into consideration the weather, and blow drying, and curling/flat iron taking the moisture out as well. I would look into the Biosilk line from a professional salon. Those shampoos and conditioners they sell in retail stores are made up of a lot of alcohol and also some have formaldehyde in them. Yes, that's what they embomb in dead people. Hope this helps!

You should use whatever shampoo works for your hair, if the garnier is working than stick with it. Pantene is not that good, I've read a lot of review about women who say pantene started to break their hair off over time. I was one of them. The first time I used the line (shampoo %26amp; conditioner) it worked wonderfully, my hair was soft, smelled good and everything. THe more I used it the more dry my hair got and then it just started to fall out.

If your going to try a new shampoo try Nuetrogena Triple Moisture (the shampoo and conditioner) their line is really good. Creme of nature also makes a good shampoo, I've never used their conditioner though.

Remember when you shampoo to part your hair into sections and just shampoo the scalp and not the hair. Shampooing the hair will make it dry and it really drys out the ends, the oldest part of the hair.

If your hair is breaking a lot than you need to deep condition for an hour at least once a week without heat. Try staying away from blow-dryers and flat-irons if you can. On the days you are not washing just spray it with a leave in/moisturizer.

I recommend that you try the pantene relaxed and natural. It is specially made for our type of hair. But also consider that ever so often you should change the products that you use.Your hair will become used to the same product and you will not see any change.Try to switch up your shampoos?conditioners every 4-6 months the hair have more body, shine and strength. I hope i was helpful GOOD LUCK.
