I think it's fine if anyone wants to have children with a black person as long as they are ok that the child will have curly hair, dark skin or even light skin or blue eyes. This child even if light skin will be defined as a black person. I wouldn't mind if one or two people in my family had kids with black people but if everyone in my family had kids with black people that would bother me. From that moment on my family would be black.

If black people are so proud of being black then why straighten their hair, why lighten their hair. Somebody is making these hair straightening and skin whitening companies billions of dollars each year. I do not see white people getting surgery to make their noses look black, or curling their hair to be nappy. Actions speak louder then words. Black people SAY they are proud but their ACTIONS say other wise.

I am mixed and I love having my long thick CURLY hair, it is envied by most blond, straight limp hair having women.

I love having my nicely tanned skin year around, it is envied by girls with pale skin that burn easily instead of tan.

I love the curves that I inherited from my mothers side of the family. It is envied by flat chested flat bottomed girls every where.

Well, a Hatian friend of mine put it this way: Nobody's satisfied with what they have. Some white people tan their skin and frizz their hair, while some nonwhite people bleach their skin and straighten their hair. Hair is a large part of black culture, as is music and as you've seen in the south, FAMILY. And that's the way it's been and it will always be. This is not to say that hair and music and family are not a large part of other cultures, but it is for alot of black people. Lightening hair and straightening hair are not "signs" that a black person is not proud of being black. That's like saying a white woman with a small butt getting butt implants wants to be black because she hears that most black women have large butts. We know that's a stereotype, but she may want butt implants because she's just insecure about her butt. It's also like saying exactly what you said, a white person who has naturally straight hair wants their hair curled, well are they wanting to be black because they have? Alot of black people hair naturally curly hair, or as you've put it, nappy hair. Not all black hair is "nappy" or hard to manage, there are alot of blacks who have just plain naturally curly hair. To straighten it makes it easier to manage sometimes, unless the hair is fine and soft, or some people just like the look of straight hair. You have the choice to keep your hair wavy or straightened, or to color it dark brown or blonde, but when it comes to someone black who wants to do the same, now you are saying they aren't proud of who they are? It's about the confidence to do as you please. If you look good with blonde hair, you just do. And that's great that you can rock it, it's your choice. Black or darker genes typically dominate over light ones but that's not to say that the child is 100% Black, they could have light eyes, light straighter hair etc.. But why should it matter Black is just as beautiful as White. What is a Black nose? There is obviously nothing wrong with curly hair or dark skin because many white people are trying to achieve this look. Many black women straighten their hair because it is easier to manage. That's why I did it. There aren't that many black people who use skin lighteners...that's very rare that you see that. In America anyway. To address your ignorant statement on nappy hair....I have seen many white people with nasty looking hair...in fact it looks like horse hair. And your very wrong about the whole nose thing because many white girls get nose jobs because their noses are too pointy and bumpy. Glad I don't have to do any of these things! If someone black were to have a kid with a white person the kid would be mullato. With being a mixed person they would have both set of genes from their parents. The kid could look like a mix between the two or take dominance over one side of the family. You can't automatically assume what the kid will look like. Another factor that determines the way the kid turns out is if either of the parents had interacial marriages in their family's past. Personally I don't see anything wrong with people of different races having relationships together. What matters is that they are happy together. And if someone from your family chooses a relationship with a black person live with it, it's their choice and if you care about that family member you will let them be happy.
