Have him wash his hair put in a leave-in conditioner. Then have him / someone else twist his hair with gel and pomade/oil. Twisting is just like braiding but use only two strands of hair. keep hair like this for four days than untwist for curly fro.( the size of your twist determines your curl.
The smaller your twist your hair the tighter your curl the larger your twist the losser your curl. Once curls disappear repeat process!
