Why are black people the ONLY ones with a different texture of hair?

Most white, asian and hispanic women have straight, wavy or curly. I never seen any of these races have nappy hair. Yes, I am AWARE that some latinos can have nappy hair but it is only because they are MIXED WITH BLACK.I am also aware that blacks can have WAVY OR CURLY HAIR BUT OVERALL, NAPPY/KINKY TEXTURE IS MOSTLY SEEN IN BLACKS. How come we are the ONLY ONES WITH THIS NAPPY TEXTURE?

Actually, some Asians do have "nappy" hair. If you've been to a salon in recent years, you may have heard of the Japanese thermal straightening system or some phrase like that. It's because many Japanese have super-curly hair that can become a frizzy mess. It's not quite the same texture as African-American hair, but it can get ugly if left uncombed. I have some of these hairs myself, usually found in the back of my head. I've also had to choose stylists who have worked with Asian hair before, because it generally is a lot coarser (thicker) than Caucasian hair.

There are three races, Caucasian, ******* and Occidental. Race is determined by hair, not skin color, eye shape or any other physical feature. The scientific difference is in our hair.

It's just the way God made people, we all have our uniqueness about us. Isn't it awesome how our hair is so much different than anyone else's? It's a shame when black women try to conform themselves to try and feel accepted. Black hair is beautiful it it;s own way, just like any other hair!

Hon...black people aren't the only one with different textures of hair...

I'm white and have nappy kinky curly hair....doesn't mean a thang, at times I straighten it, sometimes I leave it kinked.

But genetics has everything to do with it......

P.S. Asian hair is not more porous...lol, the porosity of hair has to do with how much damage a person hair has. The more porous your hair, the more water it soaks up. Its likened to a women that bleaches her hair, (like me) if I was to put color on it, it would soak up the hair color (grab it) more quickly because it is porous, because I have bleached it...thus opening up the cuticle of my hair.

So porous hair has nothing to do with ethnicity....

they most definitely are NOT the only ones with a different texture hair.....and by the way when you wrote "most white, asian and hispanic women" you kind of left out a HUGE PORTION Of the population - including middle eastern, indian, west indian, caribbean women.........and trust me they dont have strictly STRAIGHT WAVY or CURLY hair. so no, you are not the only ones with texturized hair.
