What do I do to get my hair into an afro?

My hair is pretty long and curly. Like black, curly, kinky, and all that(but not nappy). That may be because I'm black, but who knows. :D

Anyway, I've never had an afro before and I wanted to know how I can get it in that style. What materials will I need and how will I use them.

I just went natural and my hair is very soft and curly. If I wanna get it round like an afro I just part it in sections and comb my hair out. It gets big and round like an afro, well a curly afro, but its still cute. lol. If that does not work, try a rod set, you know, those little skinny rollers? that may give you an afro.

Roll it when it's wet with the tiniest curlers you can find. (this works best with shorter hair) Sit under the hair dryer or let it air dry.
