Actually "nappy" hair does grow, hair textures take different things to keep them healthy. Hair with tighter curls, need alot of moisture, so it won't become brittle and break off. So it logically is growing, but at the same time the hair is growing, it's also breaking off. So certain textures, take certain amounts of time to keep it healthy.
