I tried washing it but didn't help much. What can I do to get the tangles and napp's out, and make it look new again.

hmmm.... well you might want to call the salon and ask the stylist. I had a similar problem where the women did the weave wrong and put a knot in it. It was so nappy. I had to wash it in cool-cold water condition it, blow dry it,flat iron it(oil sheen) and that really helped a lot.
